Touchstone Inn - Spa & Gallery

Secluded in town 1 mile north of Taos Plaza, Touchstone is the perfect place for your event or personal getaway. Extensive gardens border Taos Pueblo lands with unobstructed mountain views. Cozy rooms with fireplaces - some with jacuzzi tubs, historic, vegetarian, labyrinth, spa and gallery.

Chronicled in the books, Winter in Taos by Mabel Dodge Lujan and Taos, a Memory by Miriam Hapgood Dewitt, Touchstone is a traditional Taos adobe that has been lovingly restored and filled with original artworks of artist-owner, Bren Price, as well as that of other artists. The breakfast gallery, which looks out over the courtyard and Taos Mountain, features individual lace-topped tables divided with partitions and plants to provide an air of intimacy.  The large corner fireplace in the Leopold room, desinged by Tony Lujan, is visible from the gallery as well.  The relaxing sound of classical guitar or piano music and the playing fountain permeate this elegant room where special coffee and teas are always available.
     At Touchstone guests feel pampered with the warmth of home.  In each room there is a coffee maker with service utensils, ice bucket, wine glasses and openers, robes, hairdryer, soaps and shampoo. We have wireless internet access and offer additional meals to groups.
