Santa Fe was founded in 1610 and is the oldest capital city in the U.S. Like most cities of Spanish origin, Santa Fe is built around a central Plaza, the heart of the city since it as established. Santa Fe sits next to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, with ample hiking and recreation. Sixteen miles from the Plaza is the Santa Fe Ski Area.
